Work is Everything?

By Alberto Pupo

To work is ever important to the American man and woman . Working seems to be a task that gives meaning to the lives of many, it is what gives many of us a sense of freedom and financial security. The need and want for jobs is part of what propelled the average American to stand up and demand more jobs. The lack of mobility between the classes is also hard to face. America has become a race to the bottom. Wages stagnate for the employee, while the CEO continues to create a gap which is impossible to bridge. American society which promises an American Dream to those who work hard has become a race to the bottom with no Continue reading

By Alberto Pupo

Unions are a much marginalized National treasure. Without Unions or the existence of them , the plan to turn The United States into a society of wage slavery would be into full blown effect. However even with all the historical victories and the advancements that Unions have done for America, the people of the United States are still lukewarm about them. Union membership has been on the decline and they have all but disappeared in the private sector. Unions create an an atmosphere of solidarity and help the members bargain for better wages and benefits. Continue reading
