The wheels are coming off the Republican Machine. After a sounding beating at the polls, the party seems to be in a state of disarray. Their methods and demographics are being questioned, former power brokers are losing influence in political discourse, Members of the Tea Party Revolution are finding themselves embattled with the Establishment etc. In other words things look really heinous. With the current happenings and trajectory there is a good chance that the Grand Old Party’s hubris may ultimately lead to a split. The Tea Wing and the somewhat moderate win are one’s another’s throats and with the so called Fiscal Cliff negotiations approaching it looks like the disarray has gotten even worse.
The Republicans have learned that white, bitter, old men, do not make for a modern party. The reliance on the “Dont Thread on Me Curmudgeon” have become a thing of the past. With the so called talks about the fiscal cliff heating up and the Washington crowd wheeling and dealing before the new year arrives, it seems that a new development has slowly arisen. The end of Super Grover might be near! Grover Norquist a name who prior to the election was not being brought up too much a sort of forgotten man if you will now seems to be publicly losing his battle to reign in politicos. A man who could make or break the political career of a conservative politician is now watching his power vanish. Like the curtain being revealed on the Great Oz! In what was to be a simple exchanged during the Vice Presidential Debate, Joe Biden did something which has not been done enough through the course of the Presidential Campaign, he brought up the blind allegiance that the Right has to Grover Norquist. When it comes to influencing policy on the Right Norquist has been the ultimate unelected Czar. His power and influence is so great that he has even made any elected Representative who wishes to have a serious political career on the Right, kneel before him and kiss the ring via the creation of his plan. Yet why has there been such silence on Norquist until now?
